Ghost's

Ghosts, the mystical creatures that have puzzled man, women and child for centuries. Who were they? What are they now? How is a ghost created? These questions have been asked by many, but wee do know one thing; A ghost is created with death.

Some believe ghost’s are created when a wizard dies, and they leave an in-print of themselves upon this world. Others think that they are spirits with unfinished business on this world. On thing is clear, the image of a ghost is humanoid in appearance, only white, clear, and cold.

Favorite Movie

We had to write about our favorite movie. What's yours?

What is my favorite movie? The question as old as old as T.V. itself. Well, I LOVE comedy’s, adventure, and fantasy. So, I know it has to be one of those. I would probably say one of the Harry Potter movies. It has a perfect blend of all three.

The Book

For this writing circle, we had to do super hero's. What power would you have?

Super Hero’s, the type of person everyone wants to be. Let’s not kid ourselves, at one point in our lives, we’ve all dreamed about being a super ourselves. Just some more than others. If I were a super (emphasis on I) I would be have a power of the pursuit of knowledge. I wouldn’t have some weird costume of catchphrase, just a normal person with certain “abilities.” I would have the power to read any language, book, or writing just at a glance. The Book.

Night Is Born

Our group decided to write a poem, to see what creativity. Mabe you'll be inspired to write your own.

I glory in the sight,
as darkness takes the light.
May the stars guide my way,
as shadows take the day.

There is not one world, but many. In some, people have no souls. In others people . In my world, people are born with the soul already out of their body. We all have souls though, they exist outside of our bodies, in animals called demons. The demon is a person’s very life force.

Writing circle: no. 1.

I know it's not much, but I was more setting a mood than anything.

My eyes flicked open. Were am I? How did I get here? More importantly who am I? I sat up, and my jaw dropped. I was in a forest, surrounded by trees easily 200 feet tall. There are wildflowers all around me. This is insane! The earth below me is soft and moist. The air smelt of peppermint and flowers. It was amazing.

Harry Potter; The Amazing Journey

Harry Potter; The Amazing Journey

When Harry Potter was eleven years old he got his letter from Hogwarts, and was swept along on his amazing journey. In this chapter of his marvelous story, he is fifteen years old, and is entering his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He is faced with challenges, and is shown what the true meaning of friendship is.

When thinking about the theme of this story, I’d say the theme is courage and friendship. Harry’s friends were with him the entire time, even if he didn’t want them there for their own protection. With courage, Harry’s friends went through all of the challenges of the Department of Mystery’s, even though all of them got injured along the way. Also, when he was being attacked by Dementors, he produced his Patronus even though he was terrified. The point of this is to show we should be true to our friends, even if we’re in danger ourselves, and to show how true friends act.

After theme comes plot. In the plot of this book, Harry is a fifteen year old wizard in training, faced with tasks, that no grown witch or wizard should have to confront. Even his friends are faced with horrible challenges. One of his friends has the cruciatus curse placed on them. This curse feels like thousands of red hot knifes being pushed into your body, and your bones feel like there going to burst. Harry even has to watch people die. And, on top of all of that, the dark lord (Lord Voldemort) is invading his mind.

All in all, this book was amazing. It had the perfect balance of suspense, action, comedy, and tragedy anyone looks for in a book. I would give this book five out of five stars. It shows how mundane even wizards and witches are. I hope whoever is reading this will read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Plus, with all of the reasons I’ve just given you to read it, you’d be mad not to.

When thinking about this Harry Potter book, he realizes what friendship really is. We should all be so lucky to have friends like Ron and Hermione, his best friends (who are also magical). I doesn’t matter if your magical or mundane, you don’t have to be a wizard to appreciate the spell cast by Harry Potter.

Am I Proud of My Country

Authors Note;
The reason I started it the way I did is because not a lot of people don't really know what the meaning of proud. Are you proud?

Proud, what is proud? Proud is the feeling you have when someone does something your amazed at. The feeling that you have when you are at a loss for words. America is the land of opportunity, the land of second chances. Am I proud of my country? Yes, I am.

Reasons, you want Reasons? Well, People don’t call it the “American Ingenuity” for nothing. Look at all we accomplished. We invented the atomic bomb, the telephone, and the light bulb. All of the things Americans have invented could fill a library. Americans have invented something for everything.

In times of trouble, Americans have always stuck together. When terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center and The Pentagon, to some people, it was the end of their world. To others, it was a chance to show their strength. At Pearl Harbor, did we go crying to our mommies sniffling? No, we held our chins high and toughed it out. In all of the instances, we stuck together.

Our military has always been protect and serve. They have always been there for us in times of thick and thin. Men and women lay down their lives to protect us. People have no idea of the horror these people go through to make sure we’re safe. For that, I thank them.

Our founding fathers believed in equality and freedom. That is why they formed the Declaration of Independence. These men were risking execution for high treason, so we could escape British rule.

Am I proud of my country? Look at all of these reasons, and tell me what you think. Are you proud of your country, because I am proud of my country.

Language

Authors note:

The reason I chose this topic is because I got thinking about what life was like in prehistoric times. Also, I didn't know what else to write about. I thought about reusing a paper from last year, but  that would've been cheating.

What would life be like without language, or talking? Look at it this way, without language we wouldn’t have cell phones, computers, houses, weapons, or anything modern. We would still be living in caves, with almost nothing. People may even have a shorter life span. You wouldn’t have any of the modern things, you depend on. In short, language is the greatest invention of all time.

From the psychological standpoint, you wouldn’t be able to talk to anyone. Not a single soul. We wouldn’t even have a basic alphabet. The only means of communication would be hand gestures. You would live in basic grass huts, and hove only basic clothes. It would be like living like the humans in the Planet of the Apes movie.

From the scientific point of view, we wouldn’t have any technology. Nothing and the definition of technology is something that makes a job easier. So that means you wouldn’t even be able to use a wheel. You wouldn’t have any of the modern luxuries you’re probably so used to. We wouldn’t even have the modern medicines that stop life threatening diseases that kill thousands every year. People wouldn’t even be able to clean drinking water, or have the ability of agriculture.

From the educational aspect, we wouldn’t even have an alphabet. There would be no writing, reading, of modern thinking. All of the classical literature in the world would no longer exist. People wouldn’t have the technology to even write. All knowledge wouldn’t exist.

The last thing is what life would be like without art and music. All music wouldn’t exist. The only form of art would be stick people, drawn on cave walls. All form of music would be gone. Art would cease to exist.

Imagine life without all of these things. This is what life was like before languages and speaking were invented. Life was a daily struggle to survive. Life is amazing compared to what life was like before languages. Like I said before, language and speaking are the greatest inventions ever.

Ok, so I'm kind of new at this whole " blogging " thing, so I'm just gonna wing it.
