Am I Proud of My Country

Authors Note;
The reason I started it the way I did is because not a lot of people don't really know what the meaning of proud. Are you proud?

Proud, what is proud? Proud is the feeling you have when someone does something your amazed at. The feeling that you have when you are at a loss for words. America is the land of opportunity, the land of second chances. Am I proud of my country? Yes, I am.

Reasons, you want Reasons? Well, People don’t call it the “American Ingenuity” for nothing. Look at all we accomplished. We invented the atomic bomb, the telephone, and the light bulb. All of the things Americans have invented could fill a library. Americans have invented something for everything.

In times of trouble, Americans have always stuck together. When terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center and The Pentagon, to some people, it was the end of their world. To others, it was a chance to show their strength. At Pearl Harbor, did we go crying to our mommies sniffling? No, we held our chins high and toughed it out. In all of the instances, we stuck together.

Our military has always been protect and serve. They have always been there for us in times of thick and thin. Men and women lay down their lives to protect us. People have no idea of the horror these people go through to make sure we’re safe. For that, I thank them.

Our founding fathers believed in equality and freedom. That is why they formed the Declaration of Independence. These men were risking execution for high treason, so we could escape British rule.

Am I proud of my country? Look at all of these reasons, and tell me what you think. Are you proud of your country, because I am proud of my country.

Language

Authors note:

The reason I chose this topic is because I got thinking about what life was like in prehistoric times. Also, I didn't know what else to write about. I thought about reusing a paper from last year, but  that would've been cheating.

What would life be like without language, or talking? Look at it this way, without language we wouldn’t have cell phones, computers, houses, weapons, or anything modern. We would still be living in caves, with almost nothing. People may even have a shorter life span. You wouldn’t have any of the modern things, you depend on. In short, language is the greatest invention of all time.

From the psychological standpoint, you wouldn’t be able to talk to anyone. Not a single soul. We wouldn’t even have a basic alphabet. The only means of communication would be hand gestures. You would live in basic grass huts, and hove only basic clothes. It would be like living like the humans in the Planet of the Apes movie.

From the scientific point of view, we wouldn’t have any technology. Nothing and the definition of technology is something that makes a job easier. So that means you wouldn’t even be able to use a wheel. You wouldn’t have any of the modern luxuries you’re probably so used to. We wouldn’t even have the modern medicines that stop life threatening diseases that kill thousands every year. People wouldn’t even be able to clean drinking water, or have the ability of agriculture.

From the educational aspect, we wouldn’t even have an alphabet. There would be no writing, reading, of modern thinking. All of the classical literature in the world would no longer exist. People wouldn’t have the technology to even write. All knowledge wouldn’t exist.

The last thing is what life would be like without art and music. All music wouldn’t exist. The only form of art would be stick people, drawn on cave walls. All form of music would be gone. Art would cease to exist.

Imagine life without all of these things. This is what life was like before languages and speaking were invented. Life was a daily struggle to survive. Life is amazing compared to what life was like before languages. Like I said before, language and speaking are the greatest inventions ever.

Ok, so I'm kind of new at this whole " blogging " thing, so I'm just gonna wing it.
